The front page of a newspaper contains the biggest news stories of the day. This section may also tease other stories inside the edition, such as an upcoming movie release or celebrity gossip. It is common for websites to have a front-page that serves as the home page of their site, similar to how newspapers have front pages.
The term front-page is also used to refer to an article that appears on the first page of a tabloid or other sensational news publication. While most of these articles are not important, they may be interesting or intriguing to read and often receive a lot of attention and buzz due to the fact that they are on the front page.
